A qualification from the Chartered Management Institute is a great way to demonstrate your management & leadership capabilities. A level 5 Diploma along allows you to apply for the coveted Chartered Manager status.

The level 5 suite of CMI qualifications are aimed at experienced middle and senior managers. You can choose from a range of modules to ensure the qualification suits your role and area of expertise.

Level 5 Award in Leadership & Management (SCQF 8)

The  Award is a great way to gain a qualification in just a few weeks. Pick one of the modules shown below. Complete in less than 4 weeks. £495 plus VAT

Level 5 Certificate in Leadership & Management (SCQF 8)

The  Certificate allows you to take it a little further. Choose two or three of the modules shown on your right. Complete in 1 to 3 months. £895 plus VAT

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (SCQF 8)

The  Diploma is our most popular qualification. Choose six of the modules shown on your right. This qualification can take approx. 6 months to complete. £1495 plus VAT

Level 5 Extended Diploma Leadership & Management (SCQF 8)

The  Extended Diploma is a comprehensive qualification providing you with a broad range of knowledge & understanding. Pick eight or nine modules and complete in 9 to 12 months. £1995 plus VAT

This unit is about financial management systems and controls and the impact of external factors on organisational financial management.

  3. Be able to develop a marketing plan that contributes towards achieving organisational objectives

This unit is about understanding projects, developing project plans and management strategies, and ensuring projects achieve objectives with targets.

  2. Understand project methodologies and their application
  3. Be able to develop a project plan, identify and mitigate risks
  4. Be able to construct a monitor and review strategy

This unit is about planning human resource requirements to enable work objectives to be met and providing objective development opportunities for individuals.

  1. Be able to devise a human resource plan for a work area, to meet organisational objectives
  2. Be able to identify and plan for individual development to meet organisational objectives
  3. Be able to initiate a personal development plan for an individual
  4. Be able to evaluate the progress of the plan

This unit is about identifying a need for staff, selecting objectively and inducting effectively within legal and organisational requirements.

By the end of this unit you will:

  1. Understand the impact of both the law and organisational procedures on the process of recruitment and selection
  2. Be able to present a reasoned case for changes in staffing resources, identifying personnel requirements
  3. Be able to conduct a selection process, justify a decision and keep necessary records

This unit is about the foundation skills and knowledge of a middle manager and leader.

  4. Be able to develop a plan that meets a stakeholder needs

This unit is about understanding risk, assessing risk, implementing and evaluating risk management activities.

This unit is about understanding the organisational strategy for Corporate Social Responsibility, developing an implementation plan, delivering the plan and evaluating and reporting results.
