IT & Digital Apps Tutor
Full time, part time or supply considered.
We currently have a requirement for a IT Tutor. The role involves delivering tutorials and workshops and supporting our learners to achieve Diplomas in IT & Telecomms or Digital Applications (SCQF6). The role also involves visiting learners in their workplace on a regular basis to support them to achieve their qualification.
You will have complete management over the organisation of your work diary, delivery of workshops and scheduling appointments with your candidates. Your candidates will be based predominantly in the HIghlands therefore travel is required to customer premises, although some of the work with your learners is done remotely using our e-portfolio to keep up-to-date with learner progression.
This is a full time role based on working a 37.5-hour week, Monday – Friday.
- Occupational Competence
All of our tutors must have worked extensively in the topic they deliver. This means that you will have work experience in IT and be able to support and help people in their workplace.
- Occupational Qualifications
Whilst a qualification in IT is desirable we recognise that this is a new and growing area and therefore experience and knowledge is preferred.
- Tutoring / Assessing Experience
Applicants should have or be willing to attain the Assessor’s Award L&D9di or the Level 3 Award in Education & Training. Ability to support and motivate learners is much more important to us and we are happy to train these skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with learners and foster effective working relations with businesses
- Highly organised and able to work flexibly and prioritise workload
- Personable and determined. We look for individuals who offer flexibility, personality, enthusiasm and determination to support their learners to succeed.
- A driving licence is essential
